As many of you know I just got married on August 3rd. It was absolutely the best day of my life and I feel so blessed to have found my best friend and life partner in crime. All you brides out there…I know planning a wedding is stressful, but it is totally worth it at the end of the day – it will be the happiest day of your life. My advice: stay on the dance floor at your reception.
Vin and I were able to take some time and travel to Maui, Napa and San Fransisco. I’m excited to share the first part of our honeymoon with you!
We stayed at the Grand Wailea in Maui. It was beautiful!
The first day of our trip we had to get up at 1:45am to drive up a volcano to see the sunrise then bike down it. Just another normal day…. It was freeeeeezing (weird right?) but when you’re 10,000 feet on top of a volcano and above the clouds, I guess I can understand why it was so cold. As tired as we were, it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen.
My very favorite part of the trip was the Road to Hana which is the scariest, most ridiculous and dangerous thing you can probably do. I mean I was a little scared. You start on Earth then you drive miles up a curvy road with no guard rails through a rain forest. But then you reach Heaven or what I imagine Heaven to be like. Amazing views, trees that look like they have been painted, but really haven’t – they’re just that beautiful, waterfalls, black sand beaches, caves made from molten rock…it goes on and on.
The pictures really don’t do it justice. I can’t wait to hopefully some day get the opportunity to explore another Island of Hawaii. I truly miss it and I truly miss these tacos which I will never get to stuff my face with again.
