It’s seems like it’s about the right time to share something fruity.
And healthy. Spring is technically 14 days away. A lot of us are thinking YEAH RIGHT with all this snow on the ground and cold temps. Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean we can’t start thinking about Spring right? It also doesn’t change the fact that Spring Break is around the corner. Oh how I miss those days. No more Spring Breaks for me. I sure hope you’re going somewhere!
A Berry Smoothie is the perfect way to start off your Spring – it’s easy, delicious and healthy. I’m only using 4 ingredients in this one to keep it simple – frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries), coconut water, kale, and 1 chobani yogurt (I used blueberry). I tend to make this when I’m feeling tired or after I’ve had a bit too much fried food over the weekend. That only happens SOMETIMES though. 😉
Ya know who has AMAZING smoothies? Mariano’s. I get them quite often – they have tons (I mean like 12 ingredients per smoothie) of delicious ingredients in them and they are so smoooooooooth. It’s the perfect treat while grocery shopping.
I bet you’re wanting a smoothie right about now.
- 1 cup frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries)
- ¾ cup coconut water
- Handful of kale
- 1 berry flavored Greek yogurt (I used Chobani)
- Place all ingredients in a blender and puree.

I love putting kale in my smoothies. Berries seem to be able to cover up the taste of kale best. Plus they look so pretty, just like yours.

Thanks Christie. It definitely does. I don’t even taste the kale, but it’s in there!

This sounds so good right now! It sounds really healthy, too. I love making smoothies and have been meaning to get some frozen berries and yogurt in the house so I can make them more. I have never tried putting coconut water in my smoothies, but I am going to try this out!

Yes, it’s very healthy and very easy! I always keep a frozen fruit in my freezer – it’s perfect for smoothies. It’s also great for baking, just let it thaw out. 🙂
