Cucumber Smoked Salmon Bites are the perfect appetizer for any party. Cucumbers are sliced then topped with chive cream cheese and smoked salmon. No cooking is involved, just delicious ingredients that make a tasty appetizer!
These little guys are the perfect fancy appetizer. My neighbor hosted a wine night recently and she served these and I fell in love. They were beautiful and delicious.
I love when simple ingredients come together to make a beautiful small bite appetizer.
Cucumbers, chive cream cheese and smoked salmon are the only ingredients you need to make these!
I went to Trader Joe’s to grab the ingredients – cucumbers, pastrami soaked smoked salmon and chive cream cheese. Trader Joe’s only has plain cream cheese so I added my own chives.
Let me tell you…if you can get the pastrami smoked salmon, I would but if you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, any kind of smoked salmon would work.
You can spread the cream cheese on or you can pipe it – I actually found that piping it was a little easier but again, doesn’t matter!
These are cool, crunchy, salty and creamy – the perfect appetizer bite!
If you’re looking for a new year’s dish, this is the one you need to make! Enjoy!
Don’t forget to pin this recipe!
- 1 large cucumber, sliced
- 1 container chive cream cheese
- 1 package smoked salmon
- Pipe or smear the cream cheese on top of sliced cucumber then top with a piece of smoked salmon. Measurements do not matter for this appetizer - simply put as much or as little cream cheese and smoked salmon onto the cucumbers. Cover and chill before serving. I found that one large cucumber yields about 12-16 "bites."
