So what’s going on in my life besides pasta, cookies, and the occasional salad?
The whole family! Missing my sister because she’s taking the picture and brother and beautiful sister-in-law.
Vin is saying “yeeesss” because he guessed the gender right!
Love this picture of Gram (on the left) and Nonna (on the right)
Vin’s lovely parents.
My lovely parents.
A baby! Yes, Vin and I are expecting our first baby this August. We’re ecstatic!
It’s going to be one hot and sweaty summer eh?
We had a reveal party a few weeks back which was more nerve racking than expected. Both of our immediate families were there (besides my brother and his sweet wife. Miss you two!!), and we made and ate pizza, drank wine (not me, duh), and talked and then it was time. After about two hours of waiting it was time to find out the gender of the babe. I had a local bakery make cake pops and just one of the cake pops was pink or blue on the inside. So we all grabbed a cake pop and…and…AND.
Well the pictures tell it all, but it’s a girl! We are thrilled and couldn’t be happier to meet her in August.
I was thinking it was a boy and Vin was thinking it was a girl so it was incredibly fun to find out this way and with our families.
I will do my best to keep Stuck On Sweet about my love for food and keeping feeding you yummy recipes but every now and then I will share an update or two about the babe. It’s just too exciting.
So…the first update!
Baby Loizzo is about 19 weeks old, just a wee little thing. Can’t believe I’m half way through. Like most women, I was exhausted and nauseous for about 4 weeks during the first trimester. I slept a lot and ate cereal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Thanks Honey Bunches Of Oats for keeping me alive for 4 weeks. However, I never actually got sick…ya know…like threw up (sorry, probably not appropriate for a food blog)…which was a blessing.
By week 10, I was as good as new though! Since then I’ve been cruising, getting a little bigger every week and feeling great. I have no food aversions so I eat whatever I feel like which is a blessing because I don’t know what I would do without cheeseburgers in my life. Baby girl seems to like cheeseburgers, too.
Glad we’re on the same page.
I can’t fit into any pants that don’t stretch which is fine because I have like 50938493 pairs of stretchy pants.
And that’s about it. I am looking forward to warmer weather so I can get out and WALK and get some FRESH air. Feeling a little cooped up but I think all of us Winter folks are feeling that way regardless if you’re knocked up or not.
So there you have it…I have a little pink bun in the oven.
Wanna go to Dairy Queen?
