I have to share this sandwich you.
This beauty is inspired from one of my favorite sandwiches back in Iowa. There’s a deli there called Palmer’s Deli and it is LEGIT. They have a sandwich called The Turnberry and it’s seriously…SO good.
Since I can’t get my beloved Turnberry Sandwich whenever I want anymore, I decided to make my version at home! It’s very similar so I can’t take credit for coming up with this delicious sandwich, but that’s okay with me. I’m just glad I can enjoy it at home!
I recently posted a homemade Cranberry Sauce and that is what inspired me to share this recipe with you. I had leftover cranberry sauce which I happily slathered on toast in the morning but I definitely didn’t want it to go to waste so here were are!
Leftover thanksgiving cranberry sauce should not go to waste – make these sandwiches the next day for your family with all of your leftovers! I decided to use shaved deli meat, but leftover turkey would be amazing, too.
This sandwich has only 5 ingredients (including the bread) which include whipped cream cheese (can’t stress WHIPPED enough – it’s so much easier to spread), Havarti cheese, turkey and cranberry sauce. The combination of these ingredients just works. I am obsessed with Havarti cheese on sandwiches – it sort of melts in your mouth. The whipped cream cheese has a nice tang and reminds me of butter. Do you butter your deli sandwiches? My grandma did…and they were good. Of course the cranberry sauce just takes it to the next level…sweet, tart and so beautiful! Lastly, turkey is the perfect meat for this sandwich because it allows the other flavors to just be.
Lunch is served for the next few days my friends! ENJOY!

- Whole grain bread
- Havarti cheese, sliced thick
- Whipped Cream Cheese
- Shaved turkey breast (leftover Thanksgiving turkey works well, too)
- Cranberry Sauce (other berry jams would work, too)
- Slather each piece of bread with cream cheese then place a slice of cheese on either side (one peace of Havarti cut in half should be plenty, top with cranberry sauce then turkey. Cut and enjoy!

This was a great way to use up Holiday leftovers! It’s great as written, but using the garlic and herb flavored cream cheese made it even better!
