Can you use lite sour cream? Also if you just want a 2 layer cake what do you do? Do you add food coloring for the icing color?

Yes you can use lite sour cream. For a two layer cake I suggest using deeper cake pans if you have them. If not, no worries. Yes you use food coloring for frosting if you want. Enjoy!

Hello! Have you ever made this cake and froze it? Or maybe even made just the frosting and froze it? Wondering if I can make this ahead for an event.

Yes you can freeze the cake layers but not the frosting.
