Colorful chocolate-covered pretzels with festive sprinkles and holiday designs, perfect for Christmas treats and sweet snack ideas from Stuck On Sweet.

I am so excited to share this fun and easy recipe with you today! The Chocolate Storybook in Des Moines, Iowa inspired me to make these. The Chocolate Storybook is my all time favorite chocolate store – I grew up eating their chocolates and still indulge quite often, especially around the holidays. My favorites on their list: chocolate covered caramels, chocolate covered animal crackers, chocolate covered pretzels and caramel chocolate apples. If you need last-minute gift ideas, visit their site by clicking the link above or just visit for the fun of it – their chocolate is good year round in my eyes!

These chocolate covered pretzel sticks are the perfect treat to make for the holidays, especially with the kiddos – I think they would kinda like these, what do you think? You can get creative with them – I used white and semi-sweet chocolate and decorated with sprinkles, but you could also purchase colored candy melts and just go NUTS.

These are also a great gift for any occasion, wrap them up in a bag with a cute bow and you’re done!

What will you be making with your kiddos and family over the holidays?

Chocolate Covered Pretzel Sticks
Recipe Type: Snack
Author: Stuck on Sweet
Ingredients
  • Pretzel sticks
  • White chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate melting chocolate (or candy melts) – you want a decent chocolate since this is really the only ingredient you are tasting besides the pretzel.
  • Sprinkles for decorating
Instructions
  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stir after each interval. As it gets closer to melting, reduce time in the microwave to about 10 seconds – don’t want it to burn.
  2. Dip pretzels in chocolate, use a spoon to help cover the pretzel. Tap pretzel on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Decorate with sprinkles and place in a glass to dry.

  1. What kind of chocolate should I use?

  2. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I am making these for a holiday cookie exchange. They always are a hit. One variation for your readers to try is to coat one end of the pretzel rod with peanut butter, and then dip in the chocolate and decorate to finish. I am trying Nutella this year as well. Yum!
