Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake

I’m totaling lying to you. We eat ice cream way too much…if you can even eat ice cream too much?

But…37 weeks pregnant? I’m not going to worry about it at this very moment. And it’s been SO hot. Like 100 degrees hot and ice cream just cools me right down and makes me feel all cold and icy inside.

It’s wonderful.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake 2

So Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Milkshakes. You may ask where did this concoction come from? Well…My Grandpa and Grandma used to take me out to the West End Diner in Iowa when I was a little girl and I always would order a peanut butter chocolate milkshake.

They are good grandparents, I tell ya.

The sad thing is, I don’t think I’ve had one since those days until now. Well I added a frozen banana to it, but it’s very similar and brought me back to that special time in my life. 🙂

Milkshakes are the easiest desserts to make. Add everything to a blender and blend. The key to a good milkshake is using good ice cream…get the real stuff, full fat and add just enough milk so that it’s sip able but not too runny. So my advice is start with a little milk and blend then test. If it needs more, add a little more and so on.

The toppings are of course optional. NOT. No just kidding, they are but they make for a pretty dessert. The actual milkshake itself is incredibly smooth and delicious and you really do taste all of the ingredients…a little banana, chocolate and peanut butter.

That’s a darn good combo.

Happy Birthday Jess! You have the best taste for birthday treats! One of my favorite shakes is chocolate banana, I got it all the time when I was pregnant but now you just upped the game by adding peanut butter! De-lish!
