Healthy Yogurt Bowls

Good morning beautiful.

What do you wake up to? Cereal, eggs, toast? I wake up to those sometimes, too, but when I wake up to a Healthy Yogurt Bowl, I always end up having a better day.
Perhaps because it’s BEAUTIFUL.

I love putting together yogurt bowls in the morning. They require no cooking, just simply mixing fresh ingredients together. In this case, I went with avocado, blueberries, blackberries, almonds, chia seeds and some honey. A drizzle of honey does the body good. Honey with yogurt is seriously amazing – a great natural ingredient to sweeten anything up. You could use agave, too!

And chia seeds? I LOVE chia seeds. They’re crunchy, a great source of fiber and help keep you feeling full all morning long. I always put a good teaspoon full in smoothies, too!
You can mix this up – use whatever fruit and nuts that you like. I do suggest using a good and creamy Greek yogurt. I’m a big fan of Fagé yogurt – I like the taste and texture. Non-fat is just fine, but if you can do 2%, it’s even better and creamier…still healthy, too!
Yogurt bowls aren’t just for adults, make these for kiddos, too! Better yet…have them make their own! Kids always eats better when they’re involved in the preparation process.

Is it time for breakfast yet? Can’t.even.wait.
