Ready for some beautiful food?
It truly doesn’t get any prettier than this. Fresh berries with a hint of orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, and mint. That’s all these beauties need. Let’s be honest, they’re tasty otherwise, but this is easy and it makes them even prettier.
Berries are in season and are affordable at the moment so I buy tons every Sunday to snack on throughout the week. You should too. Healthy and sweet? Winning!
They didn’t have mint at the store, but they had a mint plant. So…I bought it and it’s already wilting. Help! Anyone have a green thumb? I should as my mom owned a plant and flower business for 16 years – she’s amazing. Gardening is something I plan to work on. Flowers and food? Both make me smile. 🙂
Ok back to the mint. Put mint on your fruit and in your salads – it’s soooo refreshing and beautiful. It pairs well with sweet flavors like strawberries and decadent flavors like chocolate.
Orange juice and lemon juice – use freshly squeezed. It’s the best. Also goes well with mint and adds the perfect amount of citrus to the sweet and tangy berries. Lemon should go on everything too, seriously.
Seriously, make this.
- 1 cup strawberries,chopped
- 3/4 cup blueberries
- 1 cup blackberries
- 3 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 3 mint leaves, chopped
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and gently mix. Chill in the refrigerator.
