Is this not the cutest lunchbox idea for your kids?
I am obsessed with this adorable under the sea theme lunch! Of course, Produce For Kids, (my favorite brand to work with!) came up with this recipe. I am excited to talk about their annual Power Your Lunch Box Campaign in today’s post, because I 100% believe in their mission and I ADORE there recipe ideas!
I mean, really? A delicious peanut butter fruit wheat sandwich cut into a dolphin shape? And the cut out cucumber stars and the adorable cheese and clementine sail boats? It does not get any cuter or healthier. My daughter would be obsessed with this – can’t wait to make it for her!
If you have been following me for the past few years you probably already know about my partnership with Produce for Kids. PFK believes in creating a healthier generation. As a cause marketing organization, Produce for Kids creates programs that provide easy, fun, and inspiring recipes. Since its creation in 2002 by Shuman Produce Inc., Produce for Kids has raised more than $6.4 million to benefit children and families! This is so important to me as a mother of two.
Every year PFK teams up with food brands for the Power Your Lunchbox Promise. A campaign created to empower families with ideas, tips, recipes and more to help them eat more nutritious and delicious lunches. Every year, they encourage families and classrooms to make the promise together to eat a healthier lunch. For every promise made through their website, $1 is donated to Feeding America to help families in need.
YOU GUYS! This is SO simple to do. Simply make the promise on their website – it takes just a few seconds – and you will help feed so many children and families in need. PLUS you get to browse through all of their amazing FREE recipes to make for your family.
A huge thanks to all of the brands that help support this campaign as well!
The IMPACT is real. During 2017, over 48,000 families and classrooms made the promise to eat a healthier lunch, helping raise over 500,000* meals for families in need through Feeding America!
So please! Make the promise to today to not only help feed kids in need but for your family, too!

- 2 tablespoons peanut butter (or any other nut butter)
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 2 strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 banana, sliced
- 8 sugar snap peas
- 1 slice lowfat American cheese
- 1 clementine, peeled, segmented
- Spread peanut butter on one side of each slice of bread. Top with strawberry and banana slices and close to make a sandwich. Use your favorite ocean animal cookie cutter to create a fun shape out of your sandwich.
- Place sandwich in large bento container and arrange sugar snap peas to resemble seaweed underneath.
- Slice cheese into small triangles for sails. Using a toothpick, attach the cheese sails to your clementine segments to create mini sailboats.
